Movie based on George Eliot and women's rights?

Someone recommended I watch a movie that was based on a George Eliot novel-- it was something about a young girl, women's rights, and a good-looking guy. lol :) I know nothing else about it other than it was on netflix. Anyone know the name of this movie?
