What is an example of a metaphor in a ts eliot poem?

From "Prufrock," "the yellow fog that rubs its back upon the window panes" begins a sequence wherein the fog is made to seem almost feline, hence a symbol of peaceful domesticity. More broadly, it stands in as a concrete image for the fear and sickness that rule Prufrock's world; he is paralyzed with uncertainty and self doubt, caught by fate ("and when I'm pinned and wriggling on the wall"). Do you see? Prufrock's interior state, his fissured consciousness, his personal psychodrama, are played out in the dreamlike imagery of his world, making his torments palpable.
