Thesis Statement Help? T.S. Eliot and 'The Hollowmen"?

I am doing a term paper on T.S. Eliot and his work, 'The Hollowmen'. I am not very good at thinking of a thesis statement that describes my paper the way I need to describe it. I wrote my rough draft and my teacher said that my thesis statement didn't necessarily describe my paper. Here is my first thesis statement. " 'The Hollowmen' describes Eliot's ideas and feelings during and around the time he wrote it." Not good, I know. So I come to you, the public, for a new thesis statement. If you could give me a thesis statement that explains how T.S. Eliot's life is connected to or how it is reflected in 'The Hollowmen' it would be much appreciated. Thank you.
